Continuing with the re-release of the Strategic Design collection of blueprints, this time the updated Constitution Class Rebuild NC-1700 Starship Prototype plans are now online. This is one of the finest examples of blueprints for The Motion Picture version of the Enterprise available anywhere.

Another preview of the exciting updates I'm working on, this time focusing on the amazing Strategic Design blueprint sheets. Over the coming weeks, I'll be releasing each of these sets in their entirety in full high-resolution, complete with downloadable PDF versions. These blueprints have long been heralded as the gold standard of Star Trek blueprints, so I'm thrilled to finally bring them to you in all their glory. A huge thank you goes out to David Schmidt and Tim Palgut, the original illustrators of these sets, for granting permission to share them with everyone.
For today, one new set and one old-time favorite. Althought nearly identical to the Miranda, I've uploaded the complete set of plans for the AVENGER CLASS: Starship Prototype NX-1860; a full 14-page set with an additional four poster-size sheets.
And next, the one that started it all - the CONSTITUTION CLASS: Starship Prototype NX-1700. This amazing 15-sheet set also includes four poster-size images that bring all the glory to the Connie that it deserves.

As a preview of the upcoming major update to the site, I'm providing somewhat of a sneak peak of what's to come. For the first time in over 15 years, I have a new set of deck plans from the famed Strategic Designs to share with you. This time around, it's a 14-page set of deck plans for the Scimitar-Class Starship Prototype NX-2901. Unlike many other SD plans, this one is presented without watermarks and in full resolution. In addition, I've stitched together the 14 sheets into 7 full-size sheets.

Apologies with the lack of updates lately, but with RUSH back on tour after more than a decade, I've been spending a lot of time on that side of the site. Our latest update is another set of new deck plans by Jim Botaitis of JBOT Decals fame. He has created a beautiful new set of deck plans based on the S.S. Continuing with updates to the Jackill Data Sheets section of the site, I'm happy to announce that, for the first time anywhere, the famed Jackill's Guide to Light Attack Craft is now online. This 106-page manual is filled with schematics from the Star Trek universe, but it also includes entries from the Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica universes as well.

I've uploaded two new detailed schematics to the Rusted Gear page. The first is a cutaway of the U.S.S. Cochrane; an Oberth Class starship. The second is an exciting look at the famed S.S. Valiant VAL-115 from Where No Man Has Gone Before. This cutaway is presented in both a high-resolution JPG image as well as an infinite-resolution PDF file. See the bottom of the 'Cutaways' section of the Rusted Gear page for the new updates.
Sadly, these are likely the final updates to the Rusted Gear page as the artist, James McCulley, has decided to move on to other things. We thank James for all of his contributions over the years.

Back in 1979, the late Allie C. Peed III drew some incredibly detailed plans for the U.S.S. Federation; a Dreadnaught Class starship. A couple years later, he also drew the first set of blueprints for the Gorn battlecruiser. However also in 1979, he drew some detailed plans for a ship named the S.S. Vadenda; an MK-II Star Freighter, which I've now scanned and posted online. While this ship doesn't bear much resemblance to other Federation ships, there's enough information listed by Mr. Peed to assume it belongs in the Star Trek universe. The original 12-sheet set, which is decades old, wasn't in the best shape when I acquired it, so I did my best to preserve it while scanning it for the site.

I've uploaded a rather interesting set of schematics which focuses on the Star Trek Phase II Enterprise. Specifically, this is the Phase II U.S.S. Enterprise Officer's Flight Manual - 2225 edition. This collection is a work in progress, so additional sheets may be added (or updated) in the future.

Back in November of 2023, I uploaded a detailed blueprint set drawn by Redgeneral called The GALAXY Project. This set attempted to reverse engineer the Galaxy Class Starship and the television set. Today, I'm thrilled to share the latest update to this project which is a complete revision of the original release and includes 25 additional sheets.

Thank you to everyone who reached out with support and donated to the site after last week's announcement. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.
I'm continuing to experience cyberattacks, but I now have new options to mitigate them and ensure uninterrupted access to the site.
Now, on to new matters. I've uploaded a new set of plans from JBOT decals. Jim went back to the 1980 book STAR TREK SPACEFLIGHT CHRONOLOGY to draw inspiration for this latest set of detailed deck plans -- The U.S.S. Endurance NCC-401, a Mann-Class Cruiser. This is certainly one of the most unique designs I've had the pleasure of sharing with you.

Cyber Attacks Announcement
I am writing to inform you that our website has been experiencing persistent DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) cyberattacks over the past few weeks. While the servers and content delivery network employed by Cygnus-X1 have largely mitigated the impact, this has come at a cost. We've observed a slight slowdown in response times, and my operating costs have increased substantially.
As many of you know, I've maintained this site for over 20 years as a labor of love for both the Star Trek and Rush communities. I have never asked for anything in return, and the limited advertisements on the site are solely to offset operational costs. Therefore, these attacks are particularly disheartening.
I am committed to continuing mitigation efforts, but I also face the difficult reality that I may not be able to stop them entirely. This could ultimately lead to the permanent shutdown of the site and its associated social media platforms. Please know that this would not be a decision I make lightly or immediately, but I felt it was important to inform our dedicated visitors about this ongoing issue.

Though these schematics are not new, I felt the detailed design and back-story was worthy of inclusion on the site. Drawn by Greg MacDonald back in 2017, the Asgard Class Tactical Cruiser is a great blend of several starship designs.

Update: January 14th, 2025 --- First and foremost, a happy belated New Year to everyone. I'm extremely excited about the first update of 2025 as it takes us all the way back to the beginning. As most of us know, one of the earliest iterations of Star Trek blueprints came from the late Franz Joseph when he produced his set of incomparable General Plans for the U.S.S. Constitution Class (i.e. The Enteprise). In fact this set of blueprints were among the very first I included on this site, dating back almost 20 years ago.
Fast forward back to the present day, I'm thrilled to announce a new set of CAD-designed blueprints drawn by Will Garmer. These plans are titled Franz Joseph Remastered, named after the Star Trek TOS Remastered video release, because the concept is much the same - Franz Joseph's 1973 drawings were digitized, i.e. precisely recreated using a modern Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software, resulting in a clean, sharp new version, and a few enhancements were made without changing the aesthetic of the original. This version is intended to look like what FJ might have produced had he been using CAD software rather than drafting by hand.
Check out this new set HERE, which are presented in high-resolution JPG format as well as infinite resolution PDF. Also check out the special bonus download at the bottom of the page. Finally, can you find the ducks hiding somewhere in the decks of the Enteprise? I haven't...yet.

Update: June 1st, 2024 --- On this date back in 2004, the Cygnus-X1.net website officially went online. It's hard to believe I've been at this for twenty years now, but here we are. I'm honestly a little baffled at how my little corner of the internet with very humble beginnings has grown over the years. At last count the website contains over 3,300 individual pages - yikes! - and that doesn't include the thousands upon thousands of scanned documents and images it houses. The site has certainly gone through its share of ups and downs over the years, but the encouragement I receive from so many of you has fueled the inspiration to keep it going. I don't know if I have another twenty years in me, either physically or financially, but as long as the world has Rush and/or Star Trek fans, I'll do my best to support you through C-X1.

Two years ago, I uploaded two detailed blueprint sets drawn by Redgeneral; The Runabout Project and the Voyager Project. These sets attempted to reverse engineer their respective ships (and television sets). Today, I'm thrilled to share the latest project - The GALAXY Project; a 130 page set that details the standing sets from The Next Generation. As with the two previous sets, this is still a work-in-progress, so updates will occur periodically.

Returning back to FASA, I've uploaded one of the last FASA manuals to get published, and the only one that focuses on The Next Generation: Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual.
When this 144-page manual first came out back in 1988, it was heralded as an amazing resource for fans of the "new" Star Trek series. Though it's only based on the first few seasons, it's packed with great information.
