Continuing their pattern of road-testing material, Rush's Deep South Spring Training Tour previewed "The Analog Kid" alongside "Subdivisions" within their familiar Moving Pictures framework. However, the subsequent New World Tour in support of Signals brought a massive set list overhaul that fully embraced their synthesizer-heavy era. The band dismantled their sprawling 70s closing medleys, opting instead to open the show with "The Spirit of Radio" and pushing staples like "2112" and an abridged "Xanadu" to the back half of the set. The new material dominated the night, featuring "Digital Man," "New World Man," "Countdown," and playful multimedia injections like a "Three Stooges" audio intro and a "Count Floyd" video preceding "The Weapon." Set list fluidity remained prevalent as well; "YYZ" and the drum solo were dramatically shifted to serve as the encore, while rotational cuts saw "The Camera Eye" dropped during German dates and "Chemistry" completely removed from the show by the spring of 1983.
